As the world responds to an evolving situation, Travel Nunavut is working with Government agencies to provide updates to its members with reliable, accurate and timely information sources that address their concerns. We know that our members are concerned about the impacts of this virus and how it may affect their families, communities and businesses. Members should note there are currently no confirmed cases of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) in Nunavut.
The government of Nunavut, is actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation and is working closely with Health Canada and partners.
The global travel industry is already impacted by COVID-19 and we understand that the effect will continue in the coming months. At the same time, it’s important to note that the level of impact differs across regions, tourism sectors and target markets.
As part of our commitment to supporting our members, Travel Nunavut will continue to monitor, obtain and share insights on COVID-19 from across Nunavut, Canada and global health authorities. In the meantime, we encourage our members to follow the prevention guidelines established by Health Canada.
