Embassy of Imagination is an ongoing youth art project in Cape Dorset that beautifies the local community and achieves massive public art installations “down south”. Our colourful public murals in southern cities have gained international attention, and have enable youth to experience travel as ambassadors of their community and the arts. Within Cape Dorset, youth develop their art skills through workshops and experiences on the land. Their vibrant artwork activates garbage bins, ceilings and outdoor walls throughout the community. Embassy of Imagination is both innovative and draws upon the carving and printmaking traditions for which Cape Dorset is celebrated.
