Marketing Assistance Program

The Marketing Assistance Program provides financial assistance to members who undertake their own marketing activities. Each year in February, members can apply to be reimbursed for 50% of the previous year’s marketing activities up to a maximum of $1,000 CAD per member per year.Eligible expenses include advertising campaigns, websites, business cards, brochures, registration fees for trade shows and much more.

Media and Operator Familiarization Tours

Each year, Travel Nunavut supports a selection of travel writers, journalists, social media bloggers and/or broadcasters who provide valuable media coverage of tourism experiences in Nunavut.
Travel Nunavut members have the opportunity to participate in these tours by partnering with Travel Nunavut and offering their services at a discounted rate.

Members are encouraged to contact Travel Nunavut if they are interested in participating in future media trips organized by Travel Nunavut, or if they already have media contacts and ideas for trips of their own that they would like Travel Nunavut to help with.

Canadian Signature Experiences Collection

The Canadian Signature Experiences are a curated collection of extraordinary and authentically Canadian travel experiences promoted in 11 international markets by Destination Canada.

Since the program’s inception, the collection has grown to over 200 members. Destination Canada works in partnership with all 13 Canadian provincial and territorial marketing organizations to build and maintain the collection. The Canadian Signature Experiences program promotes its members’ travel experiences to consumers, media and travel trade in international markets around the world.

In addition to the programs described above, Travel Nunavut invites members to participate in the following opportunities to further enhance their presence among potential tourists:

  • Provide Travel Nunavut with marketing materials such as brochures, flyers and business cards, and Travel Nunavut will distribute these at trade shows and events.
  • Do you have a new product, special promotion, interesting video or something you’d like to share? Contact us and we’ll spread the word through our social media channels on Facebook and Twitter and don’t forget to tag us in your Instagram photos.
